Joint doctoral programme with the University of Liverpool
Together with the Centre for Doctoral Training in Distributed Algorithms we opened a PhD position on real-time risk assessment for offshore wind.
The research topic is the development of a real-time discrete-time dynamic Bayesian network model for safety risk assessment in offshore wind power plants — the methodological core of what we build.
The programme runs at the Doctoral Training Centre for Distributed Algorithms at the University of Liverpool, directed by Prof. Simon Maskell, and is aimed at candidates in data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Doctoral work of this kind is why our models survive contact with real operations: the methods are published and defended before they reach a customer's asset.
